Failure is often seen as a negative outcome, but it can be good to fail as through mistakes we learn and make discoveries. Failing creates an opportunity, a chance to reflect on what went wrong and what role innovation could play. This blog features Anna Visser, Director of The Advocacy Initiative presenting at the Social Inclusion Forum on her experience at the European Peer review.
The goal of the review was to evaluate the Belgian Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion, a place to hear about the realities of poverty and explore solutions. Nine countries came together to look at what could be learned from their own and the Belgian experience. The bottom line is no country is getting it right. Everyone is failing, though some are failing better than others. This five minute presentation explores the concept of failure and looks at lessons learned from the Belgian Platform.
